Sweet Heat Pepper Burger

  • Baking sheet, cast iron skillet, grill or barbecue.

Step by step

Step 1: Preparation

Season the minced meat to taste with the “Spicy Chipotle BBQ Rub”. Divide into 4 – 6 burgers.
Let the skin of the peppers turn completely black in an oven, bbq or over a flame. Wipe the charred skin off the peppers. Remove the stem, seeds and white interior. Divide each bell pepper into 4 to 6 slices. Season the bell pepper pieces with Sweet Paprika BBQ Rub. Cut the red onion into wafer-thin rings, wash the lettuce. Crumble or tear the cheese into pieces. Cut the buns and toast them with some oil or butter.

Step 2: Grilling

Bake, grill or barbecue the burgers. Heat the bell bell pepper pieces for a little while longer.

Step 3: Serve

Spread both halves of the buns with the Gilroy Garlic BBQ Sauce. Top the buns with: Lettuce, red bell pepper, the Burger, green bell pepper, BBQ sauce, the cheese and onion.
