Sticky Finger Chicken



Preparation: 15 min.
BBQ temperature: 110 to 120°C
Core temperature: 74°C

What else is needed:

  • Lockable barbecue
  • Digital core thermometer
  • Charcoal or briquettes
  • Your favorite smoking wood*
  • Sauce Brush


  • *Cherry wood goes well with chicken. But other types like oak, beech, hickory or apple wood will do just fine too!

Step by step

Step 1: Chicken Preparation

Rub with the BBQ Rub.

Step 2: Barbecuing

Fire the barbecue as steadily as possible at 110 to 120˚C.

Add smoking wood and slowly barbecue the chicken in a closed grill until a core temperature of 74˚C. Remove the chicken from the barbecue and let rest for at least 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, fire up the barbecue for grilling. Glaze the chicken generously with barbecue sauce. Let the sauce caramelize on the barbecue for a few more minutes. If necessary, apply more sauce with a sauce brush while glazing.

Step 3: Serve

Straight from the fist with extra barbecue sauce. Enjoy!
