  • Cod
  • Butternut squash
  • Onion
  • Butter
  • Breadcrumbs
  • White wine
  • Fresh ginger
  • Grate Goods Seafood Seasoning


In a hot barbecue (180 – 200 degrees) or an oven.

What else is needed:

  • Lockable barbecue (This dish can also be prepared in the oven)
  • Heat-resistant dish (e.g. a skillet made of cast iron)
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Grater


  • Instead of pumpkin, you can use thin slices of carrot

Step by step

Step 1: Preparation

Cut the cod into thin slices. Peel the pumpkin and shave in thin slices with a peeler. Cut the onion into thin rings. Drizzle with white wine and season everything lightly with the Seafood Seasoning. Build up in layers in a heatproof dish. Grate some fresh ginger over it. Put some slices of butter and breadcrumbs on top.

Step 2: Barbecuing

In a hot barbecue (180 – 200 degrees) or oven, until a nice brown crust appears.
